Kinsman has had the pleasure of collaborating with acclaimed interior designer Darren Palmer numerous times, so we jumped at the opportunity to help transform his Bondi home that he shares with his husband Olivier and their son with a stunning kitchen renovation.

The brief for the kitchen, laundry and wardrobes focused on creating spaces that blended a modern Coastal aesthetic with plenty of functionality, and we think the results speak for themselves.

The Kitchen.

The heart of the home, the Kinsman Kitchen evokes a modern and minimal coastal aesthetic thanks to our V-grooved Avalon cabinetry in Coastal Oak Woodmatt and White Matt Knurled Bar handles. Clever kitchen design elements such as a kitchen island bench that doubles as a casual dining table, and generous kitchen storage thanks to concealed pantry cupboards elevate this room to perfection.

“I think it’s a gorgeous result,” says Darren. “This kitchen is heaven!”

The Laundry.

Cleverly combining a laundry and powder room, the coastal look has been continued from the kitchen with the inclusion of Avalon Oak Woodgrain doors and Matt White Oval Pull handles.

Practicality is abundant in this space, with plenty of bench space, storage, and accessories combining to create a laundry meets bathroom- perfect for this coastal home.

“I’ve put them both together, as I’ve never understood why you would have these big houses with these giant laundries at the expense of having that added functionality of a bathroom,” explains Darren.

Luxurious yet functional, the two robes within the master suite maximise much-needed wardrobe storage. Within the room itself, the built-in wardrobe offers a mix of drawers and shelving, while the walk-through robe exclusively features hanging space.

“The leather-like Grigio is just gorgeous. I love the beige colour, and it really does feel like leather,” smiles Darren. “Inside the Verti-Strip lighting is a really beautiful luxury inclusion.”
