Winning Kitchen on The Block 2019: Deb & Andy
Kinsman Kitchens was proud to debut as the official kitchen and laundry supplier on The Block 2019 at The Oslo Hotel. Five stunning kitchens and laundries were created in this amazing building with Deb & Andy being crowned winners of Kitchen Week.
Deb & Andy’s winning kitchen evokes a modern yet classic look that celebrates the New Classic design style. This is reflected in the Shaker-look Somersby Classic White Matt cabinetry used throughout the space, paired with Chadstone Prime Oak Woodmatt doors, Brushed Gold Bar handles, Caesarstone benchtops in Empira White, as well as Bosch and Siemens appliances.
Tucked around the corner from their kitchen Deb & Andy created a space that doubles as both a laundry and pantry. Mirroring their easy luxe aesthetic seen in the main kitchen, this room features Kinsman Somersby Classic White Matt cabinetry with Brushed Gold Bar handles, Chadstone Prime Oak Woodmatt open shelving, and an additional sink and tap, plus Siemens washing machine and dryer. The Caesarstone top in Empira White, also used in their kitchen, completes the look.

Step inside some of the winning looks below.
Master Bedroom: Hayden & Sara
The judges’ comments on Hayden & Sara’s Master walk-in robe was “this says luxury – and so much storage in the robes as well.” They agreed that the dark coloured cabinetry in Bottega Oak and Dark Oak Nautral is an excellent choice making the space feel luxurious. We love the inclusion of the mirror opposite the cabinetry as it gives it illusion of more space and light.
Master Bedroom, Challenge Apartment: Norm & Jess
In Norm & Jess’s Master walk-in robe the judges loved the finish on the cupboard door, the joinery and also the handles. The look is sleek and opulent, and the design incorporates the best in smart storage making organisation a breeze. The makeup station at the end of the robe adds to the glamour.
1st Guest Bedroom: Bianca & Carla
The judges were wow’d by Bianca and Carla’s Guest Room Walk-in, describing it as a high-end robe that feels beautifully bespoke and in a class of its own. They praised the next level design, being “aspirational”. Neale announced that it “feels luxurious and it feels expensive”. The light tones of Modern Oak Natural interiors paired with external doors in Volcanic Black and gold-brushed integrated Marq handles creates a moody and opulent colour palette which is right on trend.
2nd Guest Bedroom: Bianca & Carla
Looking at Bianca and Carla’s second Guest Bedroom’s Robe, Shaynna Blaze thought everything was beautiful and looking inside the joinery – total
luxury! Light and bright exteriors in White Satin paired with gold-look integrated Peak handles, as well as the generous study nook ensures that this is a guest bedroom that ticks all the boxes!
