The Block 2024 Laundries & Guest Bed 3 Wardrobes Revealed!
What a week it was on The Block! The final rooms of each home were revealed last night, with the Kinsman laundries and wardrobes providing style and function in spades! Ricky and Haydn were pipped at the post, as Courtney and Grant used their Penguin Point to win this crucial week. All the designs were unique, showcasing a variety of clever features that demonstrated how you can elevate these spaces into something you’ll love coming home to every day with Kinsman.

House 2. Courtney & Grant
Score: 29.5
Place: WINNERS
With fantastic feedback and scoring from the judges, Courtney and Grant played Phil the Penguin for the bonus point and won the coveted bedroom 3 and laundry week!
Cleverly tucked underneath a staircase, Courtney and Grant have produced a winning laundry room that blends form and function. Continuing their signature Modern Mediterranean style, the palette is organic and warm. The look is created with a blend of Budino Walnut Woodmatt cabinetry, Brushed Gold Lip-Pull handles and Dekton Khalo surfaces from Cosentino, a mirror of what they created in their statement kitchen.
Thoughtful features elevate the laundry room design to a laundry you will love spending time in. From the ASKO Drying Cabinet, Broom Pull-out and the eye-catching ledge where you can add styling decor, this room may be small but delivers big in storage and style!
“Everything is so consistent, it’s beautiful,” Shaynna Blaze praised. “It’s finished to a high standard!”
Upstairs, within the rumpus room, the built in wardrobe features beige leather-like Grigio Pelle doors, Oak Woodgrain interiors, and statement Bow Matt Black. Stunning aesthetics aside, the wardrobe also offers a wealth of storage thanks to the blend of full and half hanging space, soft-close drawers, and open shelving as well as a Folding Mirror.

House 3. Ricky & Haydn

Place: 2nd
While they may have missed out on the win, the boys created three stunning spaces this week and earned a 10 from Shaynna!
Ricky and Haydn’s laundry is light, bright, and airy, making chores a breeze. The white Ultramatt cabinetry pairs with open Coastal Oak Woodmatt shelving for a fresh coastal vibe. Brown Bronze Bar handles add a touch of luxury, complemented by a Brushed Copper tap and White Granite sink from ABI Interiors.
It offers ample storage with plenty of cupboards, a Hafele Tandem Side Pantry, and a Laundry Wire Pull-out Hamper. Bosch appliances create a striking contrast, while warm LED strip lighting accentuates Dekton Morpheus surfaces. The judges adored this room. “Now this is a laundry!” smiled Marty Fox. “It just works!”
Within their final bedroom, the wardrobe features Oak Woodgrain doors with statement Bronze Bar handles. Blending both open and hidden storage, the open shelving to the centre is highlighted by Verti Strip lighting, while the hinged doors open to reveal French Linen internals where items can be stored within hanging space and more shelving.
“This is a really well planned, well executed space,” commended Darren Palmer. “Everything here says perfect holiday house for families,” agreed Shaynna.

House 4. Kylie & Brad
Score: 22.5
Place: 3rd
With the finish line in their sights, Kylie and Brad stuck to their love of monochrome for their laundry and final bedroom.
Within their laundry, the pair combined Black Ultramatt cabinetry with Bottega Oak Woodmatt in the Avoca ‘V-groove’ profile. The dramatic tones of Cosentino’s Dekton Laurent complement the space with its striking crisscrossed veins of gold, enhancing the dark, bold colours of the joinery.
The Miele washer and dryer have been concealed behind the joinery, while the Häfele Gun Metal sink and tapware blend into their surroundings. Clever laundry solutions have been used throughout, including Hanging Rail in Black, Hafele Tandem Side in Broom Cabinet, and a Ninka Hamper with Foot Pedal- which Darren loved!
“This is really quite sedate and discreet,” said Darren. “I really like that you’ve got everything hidden away.”
Faced with a compact layout for their Third Guest Bedroom, the wardrobe that doubles as a beautiful seating and reading nook. Framing a window looking onto the pool and yard, the sleek Volcanic Black cabinetry is teamed with new Milano Black Leather Pull handles. The layout includes low drawers and a slim cupboard with hanging space, featuring Oak Woodgrain interiors, Hafele LED Bar Lights with Sensors, and a Wardrobe Lift.

House 5. Kristian and Mimi

Place: 4th
Kristian and Mimi designed a beautiful classic contemporary laundry space with our new Tuscan Woodmatt door colour, offering a warm and inviting atmosphere with a combination of flat cabinetry and our deep-grooved Sorrento profile. With an abundance of storage and inclusions such as a laundry hamper, a hanging rail, and Linen/Broom cupboard, there is a space for all the home’s needs.
“It’s full marks in here. It’s beautifully finished, the colour scheme is gorgeous, and the appliances are amazing.” exclaimed Darren. “Tick, tick, tick! This is probably the laundry of the day,”
The LG Wash Tower and Clothes Styler is another focal point within the laundry thanks to the high-impact Forest Green colour tone. Cosentino’s Dekton Albarium surfaces give an elegant, bright, and lightweight look to the space with its off-white colour. The Brushed Copper sink and tap from ABI Interiors, paired with our new Champagne Bronze Bar handles add the perfect pop of glamour to this eye-catching laundry space.
Offering multipurpose storage and an organic colour palette featuring our Oak Woodgrain finish throughout, Kristian and Mimi’s robe is a welcome addition to their final Guest Bedroom. Organisation is a breeze thanks to open shelving, soft-close drawers, and plenty of half and full hanging space. A desk which can be used for study, work or makeup, and Walnut Timber handles complete the look. The judges were disappointed that the couple had not swapped it over to a Rumpus Room as per their feedback the previous week but noted that it was beautiful with a faultless look and feel.

House 1. Maddy & Charlotte
Score: 20
Place: 5th
It was a difficult week for Maddy and Charlotte, that saw them unable to complete their rooms, reflecting the score and place. However, there was a lot to love in the both the laundry and their upstairs guest wing!
Embracing a neutral palette and calming atmosphere, the centrepiece in Maddy and Charlotte’s laundry is our new Sepia cabinetry in Woodland Silver Woodmatt. The aesthetic mirrors that of their kitchen with the 5-piece Shaker-inspired door paired with Bronze Bar handles, a Sensa Taj Mahal bench from Cosentino and AntiquePVD Aurum tapware from ABI Interiors. We love how the laundry has been combined with a powder room to maximise space within this area of the home.
Just off the kitchen and flowing into the hallway, the girls also added a practical mudroom area. It features seating and plenty of extra storage. The tall cabinets have built-in drawers for easy linen storage, while soft-close drawers under the seating make the perfect spot for organising shoes.
Though the unfinished state of the room was hard to ignore, the judges loved the Sepia Woodland Silver, the Cosentino marble-like surfaces, and the mudroom for its extra storage.
Maximising style and organisation within a compact design, Maddy and Charlotte’s wardrobe is an important element in their Third Guest Bedroom. The sisters opted for Oak Woodgrain wardrobe doors and internals, with our new Bronze Bar handles adding a luxe touch. The focus is on hanging space, with two half hanging zones and shelving, creating sufficient storage within.
