The Block 2024 Guest Bedroom Two Reveals
Still in the early stages of their home renovations on The Block, the contestants were tasked to create a second guest bedroom for their luxury holiday homes. With a focus on creating dream children’s bedrooms, the builtin wardrobes were central to the success of each space. With a beautiful Gucci dress and earrings from Kinsman and a $10k wardrobe storage upgrade from Hafele on the line this week, each team were hoping for the win!

House 1: Jesse and Paige
Score: 26.5
Place: 4th
It may be small in size, but Paige and Jesse’s walk-in wardrobe delivers both style and storage with Kinsman’s Oak Woodgrain wardrobe doors! Designed to complement a beautiful girl’s bedroom, the U-shaped built-in wardrobe offers plenty of half-hanging space, ideal for kids’ clothing, along with soft-close drawers. Open shelving allows for the organisation of clothing, accessories, and even toys, making it a design that suits all ages.
The judges instantly fell in love with the bedroom as soon as they stepped inside. All the details from the colour palette of pastel pinks and greens with pops of brass, the walk-in robe and styling elements such as the desk and beautifully styled beds were noted and praised.
“This is such a smart design idea,” noted Marty in reference to their wardrobe. “Having no doors means that it doesn’t feel closed in, and it just works brilliantly!”

House 2: Courtney and Grant

Place: 3rd
It’s been a busy week for House 2- building teams have been replaced, while in better news Grant celebrated his 30th birthday with the contestants (and Keith) with a game of mini golf.
A win would have been the perfect way to end birthday week, but it wasn’t meant to be with a third-place result for the Sydney couple. Despite this, the judges loved their bedroom from the plentiful storage within the wardrobe to the curve details which are found throughout the entire bedroom design.
Neutral and organic, Courtney and Grant’s built in wardrobe complements their second guest bedroom to perfection! Designed to be multifunctional, the desk can be used either as a study zone or as a make-up area, and seamlessly fits within the rest of the robe which features Kinsman’s timber-inspired Oak Woodgrain finish.
Timber Black Stain handles add a modern touch, tying in with other design elements found in the room. A mixture of hanging space, soft-close Matrix drawers and open shelving provide plenty of wardrobe storage, with items easily concealed behind closed doors.

House 3: Ricky and Haydn
Score: 26.5
Place: 4th
Ricky and Hayden have suffered from a few teething problems since they started on The Block, with tough feedback from the judges since they started on the show. However, after finding new builders and winning a fishing boat, things seem to be turning around for this lovable duo! The judges were quick to praise their guest bedroom, in particular the curved feature wall with palm tree wallpaper and LED lighting.
“I had to actually think what house we’re in,” said Shaynna. “This is the first time I’ve seen sophistication from the boys…there’s classiness in here.”
Light and bright, the boys have played with texture in their Second Guest Bedroom wardrobe design. White Cement doors feature Kinsman’s new Touch Argo Brown Bronze handles, creating a cool and contemporary look.
Hafele LED Bar Lights with Sensors illuminate the contents within, showcasing French Linen interiors with a plethora of wardrobe storage. The boys also opted for a section of wardrobe inserts, which breaks up the joinery and allows space for decorative items.

House 4: Kylie and Brad
Score: 27.5
Place: 2nd
One thing you can say for certain about House 4, especially Kylie, is that they have a strong point of view. Kylie hasn’t wavered from her love of black despite what the judges have said in previous weeks, however this week she took on the advice of making this guest room one for children and including two beds. The result is a gorgeous children’s room that balances black tones with timber and soft pinks to create a modern beach house look.
“This is it!” Darren said. “They’ve done it, this is where they need to be…It feels soft and light and bright…yes!”
Mirroring the colour scheme of their first guest bedroom, Kylie and Brad have once again paired Volcanic Black wardrobe doors with timber-inspired Oak Woodgrain interiors. Kinsman’s new Touch Milano Black Leather Pull handles add to the luxe look, while the inclusion of hanging space, soft-close Matrix Drawers and open shelving maximises wardrobe storage and organisation.
Having won the coveted Penguin/gnome which gives you an additional point to score should you decide to use it, the viewers may have thought that the pair would be sure to use it to take out the win today – especially with the additional prizes up for grabs. Kylie however, had other plans and decided not to play it. This ultimately led to Mimi & Kristian celebrating their third win for the season. Will this bold decision come back to haunt the House 4 couple? Only time will tell!

House 5: Kristian and Mimi
Score: 28/30
Place: 1st
After some less than stellar feedback from the judges for their master ensuite the previous week, Kristian and Mimi were hoping to make a comeback with their colourful and considered children’s bedroom. The judge’s love for this room was immediately obvious from the moment they stepped inside with Darren noting that there was no complacency here. “I just see expertise, attention to detail, high levels of finish, beautiful layout, great decisions and design…I’m mean, they’re back, baby!” Indeed, they are- with the pair enjoying their third win of the season!
Grey concrete-look Beton Texture wardrobe doors and Oak Bow handles pair together to evoke an earthy style to Kristian and Mimi’s built in wardrobe in their winning room. A feature section of open shelving has been included in the design to allow for styling décor, while behind closed hinged doors wardrobe storage abounds thanks to blend of drawers, shelves and hanging space.
Hafele LED Bar Lights with Sensors have also been selected, highlighting the beauty of the Oak Woodgrain finish, while also being highly functional in terms of being able to view the contents of the robe with ease. While the wardrobe has been styled for younger children, the design is suitable for any age group, ensuring that it is incredibly flexible.
