The Block Laundries 2026: See Every Kinsman Laundry

The Block 2026 has delivered another round of impressive spaces, with the teams taking on two hardworking areas of the home for their latest reveal: the laundry and rumpus room.

The Block laundries may not get quite as much attention as the kitchens, but this week’s reveals proved just how much thoughtful design can transform a hardworking space. From clever storage and functional layouts to stylish laundry cabinets, finishes and lighting, each team brought their own approach to creating a laundry that works beautifully for everyday life.

Taking out the win, this week were Courtney and Sev, whose laundry and rumpus room impressed the judges and secured their fourth victory!

With Kinsman laundry cabinets and accessories featuring throughout the five laundries, there was plenty of inspiration to take away – from warm timber-look finishes, new shaker door profiles, and refined neutral palettes to clever storage solutions and thoughtful details designed around everyday functionality.

House 1 – Adam & Jolene

Adam and Jolene continued the warm, inviting style of their home in their laundry, creating a practical space with plenty of considered details. Mirroring the colour palette of their winning Kinsman kitchen, the new polytec Vista door design in Dune Oak Woodmatt provides a timeless timber-look foundation, paired with Momo Handles in Antique Brass, ABI Interiors Antique Bronze tapware and Dekton Ava surfaces from Cosentino.

Clever laundry storage makes everyday tasks easier, including Häfele Tandem Side pull-out storage in the broom pantry to keep cleaning supplies organised and close at hand. Häfele Tuneable LED Strip Lighting adds practical illumination to the workspace, while the warm oak, brass and bronze palette creates a cohesive look that flows beautifully with the rest of their home.

“They’ve ticked all of the boxes in functionality in the laundry and rumpus and added that elevation through all the texture and the colour palette that they have,” said Shaynna. “I feel their consistency is right on top!”

House 2 – Chantel & Wyatt

Chantel and Wyatt’s laundry room combines timeless style with clever functionality, using a light, refined palette to create a streamlined space. Shaker-style Byron doors in Neutral Stone Smooth are paired with Soft Truffle Matt internal finishes, while Momo Handles in Brushed Matt Brass add a warm accent.

Cosentino Eclos Wondr continues across the benchtop and splashback, bringing a soft marble-inspired finish to the space. For everyday functionality, a Häfele Ninka laundry hamper keeps washing neatly contained, while Tandem Side pull-out storage in the broom pantry provides easy access to cleaning essentials. LED strip lighting and a practical hanging rail complete the considered design.

Darren described it as the perfect textbook laundry room. “If you were to say, “Give me a great laundry”, we’re looking at it!” He also loved other features in the room such as the handles, describing them as aesthetic and appropriate.

Lisa and Rosco brought the same warm, earthy aesthetic seen throughout their home into their laundry, creating a rich and welcoming space. The new polytec Vista door design in Rosewood Oak Woodmatt is complemented by Canyon Oak Woodmatt internals, bronze Momo Handles and Cosentino Dekton Sabbia surfaces.

Designed around a smaller footprint, the small laundry design makes clever use of every centimetre. Hettich A-Lario Pull-Out Steel Shelves provide easy access to detergent bottles and cleaning supplies, while a hanging rail adds further practical storage. Integrated Häfele LED Strip Lighting and Tandem Side pull-out storage in the broom pantry complete a functional and organised laundry with a cohesive, tonal feel.

Stepping into the laundry, the judges loved what they saw. Shaynna praised the dark cabinetry paired with the matching washing machine and dryer, while Marty loved the richness of the space, from the stone and copper accents to the open shelving, hanging space and generous storage. “It literally has everything!” Marty said. And Darren? “No notes!”

Courtney and Sev took out the win for their laundry and rumpus room reveal, earning two perfect tens, with their Kinsman laundry combining thoughtful storage, distinctive design details and a soft, sophisticated palette.

Impressions cabinetry in Bleached Grain Woodmatt creates a light timber-look foundation, while new curved end modules bring character and softness to the design. Dull Brushed Nickel Momo Handles and Cosentino Eclos Landr across the benchtop and splashback complete the refined look.

The judges loved the oak Kinsman joinery and the continued curves throughout the space, with Darren describing the colour palette as simple and elegant. “It’s beautifully laid out and has high function,” Marty said. Marty predicted it could be the first week of three tens – and he was nearly right. He and Shaynna both awarded the rooms a perfect 10, while Darren gave a 9.5 due to some unfinished painting.

Behind the stylish design is plenty of practical functionality. Rick and Tayla continued the inviting aesthetic of their home in their laundry, pairing warm timber-look cabinetry with soft surfaces and understated brushed nickel accents. polytec Vista door design in Bleached Grain Woodmatt creates the foundation, complemented by Cosentino Eclos Tajnar surfaces and Momo Handles in Dull Brushed Nickel.

A 25mm-thick shelving feature with Flexi-LED adds a refined design detail while keeping laundry essentials within easy reach. Elsewhere, Häfele Tandem Side pull-out storage makes the most of the available space, while Häfele Ninka Hampers provide a dedicated place for washing. Integrated LED Strip Lighting enhances the shelving and workspace, creating a calm, practical laundry that feels cohesive with the natural palette used throughout their home.

“How much do you love the washing machine and dryer here?” asked Shaynna, praising the clever design that elevates the appliances so you don’t have to bend down to use them. She also loved the configuration, which allows you to easily move the clean washing straight into the dryer. Genius!
