The Block 2026 Winners: Inside Courtney and Sev’s Kinsman Kitchen

After 12 weeks of renovating on Victoria’s Mornington Peninsula, Brisbane best friends Courtney and Sev have been crowned the winners of The Block 2026! Their House 4 in Mount Eliza sold for $4.72 million, a remarkable $1.27 million above reserve and the biggest win in the show’s history!

At the centre of their winning home sits their stunning Kinsman kitchen – and it’s a space that captures everything buyers fell in love with.

A record-breaking auction day

All five Mount Eliza homes went to auction with the same $3.45 million reserve, and all five sold under the hammer, with every team walking away with a profit. After two homes passed in at last year’s Daylesford auctions, it was a welcome result for every team on site.

After a last-minute change, Courtney and Sev went second in the auction order, and House 4 drew 17 registered bidders, the most for a single house in The Block’s history. Bidding opened at $3.4 million and climbed quickly, with the hammer finally falling at $4.72 million. Along with their $1.27 million profit, the pair take home the $100,000 winners’ prize and Scotty’s Prize Pool, valued at around $500,000. It caps off a standout season for the duo, who won six room reveals, equalling the record for the most in the show’s history.

A Kinsman kitchen at the heart of House 4

In a home built for family living and entertaining, the kitchen was always going to be the room that brought everything together. Courtney and Sev created a relaxed, coastal space that feels perfectly at home on the Mornington Peninsula, with soft, bleached timber-look cabinetry running through both the kitchen and butler’s pantry.

The pale, natural palette keeps the space light and airy, while the generous proportions give the whole family room to cook, gather and linger. It’s the kind of kitchen that feels luxurious without ever feeling formal, a balance that clearly struck a chord with buyers on auction day.

The design details that make it work

Kinsman’s Soft Bleached Grain Woodmatt cabinetry runs through the kitchen and butler’s pantry, while the long island is wrapped in Cosentino Eclos Landr surfaces that flow over curved waterfall ends. Kinsman’s new curved end panels soften the cabinetry, giving the room a gentle, sculptural feel.

“Our new curved end panels bring a soft, sculptural touch to the kitchen. They’re a stylish yet practical addition, creating beautiful curves while eliminating sharp edges in busy family kitchens.” – Susan Hasler, Kinsman’s Head of Experience & Design

Brushed nickel Momo Handles and ABI Interiors stainless steel sinks and tapware add a sleek finish. Behind the doors, Hettich illuminated glass-front drawers and pull-out pantry storage keep everything organised, with Häfele LED lighting adding warmth throughout.

That same relaxed, coastal style carries through to Courtney and Sev’s Kinsman laundry, which mirrors the look of the kitchen for a seamless feel throughout the home.

A win worth celebrating

Congratulations to Courtney and Sev on an incredible result, and to every team on The Block 2026. And the Kinsman story doesn’t end at auction day: Scotty’s Prize Pool includes a $50,000 Kinsman kitchen, so we look forward to helping the winners create another kitchen to love.
