The Blockheads pulled it out the bag once again with Kinsman cabinetry in Hallway Week on The Block! Championing consistency, each pair of contestants ensured that their kitchen cabinetry flowed through to the laundry creating a seamless look and feel throughout the home.
In these laundries, brimming with luxury, we’re excited to introduce some of our new products… Our stylish Pet Bed features in Sarah and George’s laundry and mud room, the one we saw pampered pooch Hazel modelling! Our new VGroove primed board, also in this couple’s space, is ready to be painted any colour (if at all) – adding tone and texture to the room, and there’s more! Read on to take a closer look at all the lovely laundries and new products we have to offer.
House 1: Harry and Tash
It may be small, but Harry and Tash’s laundry packs a style, design and functionality punch! The couple chose a great mix of contemporary and period styling with their finish choices throughout the room.
The neutral backdrop of Essendon White Satin cabinetry used predominantly throughout the space allows the room to feel larger and gives focus to key items within the design. This includes the use of our new feature door fronts Avoca, showcasing a thin fluted style profile in Prime Oak, which is complemented by Kinsman’s new Thin Flat Bar handle in Graphite.
Functionality is a key focus in this design with a stacked Bosch washer and dryer, a laundry pullout basket, touch catches for all wall cabinets, sink and tap, LED strip lighting and more; ensuring that this is a laundry that works hard while looking great.

House 2: Sarah & George
Sarah and George have created a contemporary take on a traditional classic shaker style in their Laundry and Mud Room. Kinsman’s Somersby profile door in Classic White combined with the natural tone and texture of the VGroove primed board panelling brings character to the room. A Caesarstone® benchtop in Intense White gives a simple and neutral backdrop to complement the cabinetry, while the Satin Black Rounded Bar handles add interest.
Storage abounds in this space and includes essential items such as a hidden laundry basket, a hanging rail, and our new Tandem Side storage unit located within the broom cabinet which is the perfect place to store tall cleaning items such as brooms and mops.
The Mud Room section of the space features a built-in bench seat. “I think having a mudroom where you can hang your coats, you can put your shoes on — this is brilliant,” Darren said.
The Pet Bed is another highlight in the zone- with beautiful curved feature paneling allowing a pet to enter their comfortable and pawfect retreat!

House 3: Daniel & Jade
Neale felt confidence in Daniel and Jade’s galley-style laundry room which showcases an effortlessly luxe Hamptons-inspired colour palette of whites, greys and blacks. The new thin Shaker-profile Camden doors in Oyster Grey allows the user to hide away a plethora of storage behind closed doors. The grey tones of the cabinetry have been paired with marble-look Caesarstone® Empira White benchtops, and Kinsman’s brand new Bell Knob Champagne handles complete the luxe look.
This compact laundry ticks all the boxes to make laundry day a breeze with inclusions such as a Bosch stacked washer/dryer combo, sink and tap, hanging rails for drying, laundry wire baskets and tall cabinetry for storage of brooms, vacuums, mops and buckets and the like.

House 4: Luke & Jasmin
Jasmin and Luke designed their laundry to complement the heritage-style of the front area of their home. Kinsman’s Somersby profile doors in Classic White Matt show off clean lines, while Brushed Dark Brass Bar handles, which are new to the Kinsman range, add instant glamour.
The couple had each and every judge on board with the design; “Oh wow, this is huge,” Shaynna observed. “I don’t think they could have done anything better,” Darren complimented. And Neale couldn’t fault the laundry space!
It feels light and bright with the matte white cabinetry combined with benchtops and splashbacks in Caesarstone® Cloudburst Concrete. The use of Prime Oak Woodmatt open shelving adds warmth to the space, allowing for high visibility storage as well as the inclusion of styling elements such as candles and indoor plants. A hanging rail sits directly beneath the shelf providing a drying zone.

House 5: Jimmy & Tam
Throughout Laundry Week Jimmy and Tam focused on creating a laundry room that meets the needs of a family. Creating a pared-back space, they have maximised functionality as much as possible, including user-friendly items such as a laundry hamper, broom cupboard and a black hanging rail. Overhead cupboards provide the perfect place to store linen and towels.
A natural, earthy palette shines in this room, and Jimmy and Tam have played with colours in a successful and bold way. Avalon Oyster Grey Matt doors, a new and luxe panel-look door profile is paired with our new Ballina Enamel strong mid-tone green cabinetry and a terrazzo-look Frozen Terra benchtop from Caesarstone®.
A strong lighting scheme utilising both Warm LED downlights and Warm LED Strip lighting completes the look of this laundry which truly offers something unique in the beachy suburb of Brighton.
