Fourth and final guest bedroom wardrobes revealed on The Block 2022.

This week saw a buzz of activity with Open Houses, redo rooms and the final guest bedrooms – and Kinsman Wardrobes- all keeping the contestants very busy! By finalising their fourth guest bedrooms, all the houses are now complete, and it is incredible to see how each house has come together so beautifully!

There was plenty to see in each bedroom and the wardrobes as always played an important role in providing a plethora of style and storage. And, in a season first there were two winners – with Tom & Sarah-Jane and Ryan & Rachel sharing the win!

Read on to discover more about each wardrobe design.

House 1: Tom and Sarah-Jane

Score: 28

Place: Joint winners

Maintaining a sense of flow and harmony throughout their home, Tom and Sarah-Jane once again selected Kinsman’s Somersby Grey Matt shaker doors in Grey Matt, Oak Woodgrain interiors and open shelving and Matt Brass Bar handles for their wardrobe design. The style of the robe complemented the rest of the bedroom which featured pink plaid wallpaper and other colourful elements which the judges loved so much they suggested that the pair should be designing hotel rooms!

The wardrobe design is visually striking thanks to the large section of open wall shelving on one end of the robe. The bedroom shelves provide the perfect place to display various items such as candles, plants, books, and other décor; the oak-inspired finish and texture adds warmth and interest to the room.

Behind the closed hinged doors, storage has been maximised with the inclusion of hanging space and soft-close drawers. Additions such as Black Front Bar lighting with sensors and a Folding Mirror ensure that this is a wardrobe that balances form and function.

  • Interior Finish & Open Shelving: NEW Oak Woodgrain Matt

“They’ve hit their stride, haven’t they?” said Shaynna, upon entering Rachel and Ryan’s final guest bedroom. While it may be compact in size, Rachel and Ryan’s Hinged Wardrobe delivers style and bedroom wardrobe storage in spades, its design complementing the rest of the guest bedroom. The duo embraced a natural colour scheme using Kinsman’s new Pewter Metallic exterior doors, teamed with timber-look Oak Woodgrain interiors and new Timber Oak handles

Usability is also considered within the wardrobe. A Folding Mirror in Anthracite and Black Front Bar lighting have been included, with a wealth of storage produced by soft-close drawers and a mixture of long and half hanging space.

Opening the bedroom cupboard doors triggers sensor operated Black Front Bar lighting, revealing a blend of soft-close drawers, and hanging space featuring interior finishes in Oak Woodgrain Matt. The judges were quick to note the workmanship and craftsmanship that had gone into the couple’s wardrobe and room despite not loving the couples’ styling choices.

The room was the final piece of the puzzle that is House 3, which is certainly one of a kind, Darren describing it as “a very saleable house, with great proportions, in a great location with fantastic views, and beautiful architecture.”

Dylan and Jenny created a multifunctional design for their generous Fourth Guest Bedroom Wardrobe. Shaker-style cabinets featuring Somersby White Matt doors, Kinsman’s new Brushed Satin Brass Pull handles, and Oak Woodgrain interior finishes combine for a classic and neutral colour scheme.

Storage abounds in the robe, which showcases a thoughtful blend of half and full hanging space, soft-close drawers, and open shelves. The study nook can double as a makeup station, the timber-look shelving and Caesarstone® Riverlet desk adding to the overall look.

The judges were charmed by the bedroom, with Neale stating that he would more than happy to be given this as a guest room and it reflected the rest of their home. “It’s feeling very luxe and it’s feeling very contemporary country, he said. It’s ticking a lot of boxes for me, and I reckon it’ll tick a lot of boxes for a potential buyer.”

This combination was also used within their redo room- their master bedroom- and the judges noted that they liked the connection between the two rooms.

Two banks of storage sit behind exterior doors, concealing a mixture of hanging space, soft-close drawers, and open shelves.
