At the heart of every home is the kitchen. And at the heart of every kitchen are the two main elements that bring it to life: the kitchen cabinets and the kitchen benchtops. We were thrilled to partner with global leader in architectural surfaces, Cosentino, to bring to life the trend-setting kitchens that were recently revealed on The Block 2023. The result was five jaw-dropping modern kitchen designs that showcase the hottest trends in kitchen surfaces and cabinetry that are here to stay.

Below we take a closer look at each kitchen and share the Silestone by Cosentino benchtops on the Kinsman range that will help you create the best kitchen and laundry on your block!

House 1. Kyle & Leslie

Warm and inviting, Kyle and Leslie’s modern luxury kitchen celebrates natural beauty and soft curves. The colour palette is achieved with our timber-inspired Oak Woodgrain kitchen cabinets and Burnt Bronze Lip Pull handles which are new to the Kinsman handle collection. The 3.5-metre-long kitchen island bench takes centerstage within the design and features Cosentino’s Dekton Sabbia, which recreates the beauty of Italian travertine. We love how the waterfall design of the kitchen island mimics the archways leading through to the butler’s pantry.

House 2. Leah & Ash

Not ones to shy away from colour or bold design choices, Leah and Ash have served up a kitchen that will turn heads. Warmth is created through the opulent Bottega Oak joinery which has been used throughout the kitchen cabinet design. New Champagne-look Soft Ziato Metallic kitchen doors and new Matt Black Ova Pull kitchen handles add the perfect amount of glamour to the look. Their central island bench is made from Sensa Vancouver, showcasing a stunning Brazilian quartzite look and curved design, and has also been used across the splashbacks.

Laundry

Cleverly utilising a walkway leading through to one of their home’s bathrooms, Leah and Ash have produced a stunning galley-style laundry. A calming and sophisticated palette has been created with a mixture of Stone Grey and Bottega Oak cabinetry, Champagne Bar handles and moody grey Silestone Ocean Jasper from Cosentino. The Gunmetal tap and sink paired with a black Hanging Rail adds contrast to the other finishes while being welcome practical additions.

House 3. Kristy & Brett

A dramatic stone-look benchtop featuring Scalea Rosso Lepanto is at the heart of Kristy and Brett’s modern and luxurious kitchen. The dramatic red marble-look surface contrasts beautifully against the all-white colour scheme of our Fresh White Satin cabinetry paired with the new Matt White Knurled bar kitchen handles. The island connects the kitchen to the nearby dining and living spaces, providing the perfect gathering place for guests and family, ensuring their kitchen is the heart of their home.

Butler’s pantry

Light and bright, Kristy and Brett’s walk-in butler’s pantry combines style with function. The Fresh White Satin cabinetry has been teamed with marble-inspired Silestone by Cosentino in Etheral Haze benches and Matt White Knurled Bar handles. Combined with generous open shelving in Oak Woodgrain, the colour scheme creates a welcoming and streamlined feel to this important space.

House 4. Steph & Gian

Serene and elegant, Steph and Gian focused on blending neutral tones with texture to produce a family kitchen that celebrates a Japandi aesthetic. The palette is neutral, and we love how the pair picked very similar tones in their cabinetry and benchtop selections. Kinsman’s new Porto Maple Woodmatt blends beautifully with creamy Sensa Taj Mahal benchtops which have been continued onto the splashback to create a seamless look.

House 5. Eliza & Liberty

Bold and beautiful, Eliza and Liberty’s winning kitchen design certainly turns heads! While the bright orange Smeg cooker and rangehood are the first thing you notice in the space, the next is undoubtably the impressive Pietra Kode Vk04 Grafite which has been used across the impressive 4-metre-long island, as well as back benches and splashbacks of the L-shaped room.  Mimicking the look of natural limestone, the surface pairs perfectly with our Oyster Grey Matt, with brass-look handles injecting a pop of eye-catching metallic.

Sitting pretty behind their standout kitchen and pantry, Eliza and Liberty’s winning laundry room mixes form and function. The Blanco Maple14 Q40 benchtop and short splashback add to the inviting and neutral look of the space which also features Oyster Grey Matt and Budino Walnut Woodmatt laundry doors and Brushed Brass Lip Pull handles.
