Latest Kitchen Trends

As the heart of your home, make 2024 the year you transform your kitchen into a place you will love spending time in.

  1. Embrace natural beauty.

Layer warm timbers with metallic accessories and hardware and marble-inspired surfaces to create a kitchen look that celebrates natural and organic tones and materials. Curved features within your design such as our Archie doors in a Woodgrain finish or as a showstopping curved detail on your kitchen island will make your room turn heads, while styling notes of soft greens and other biophilic elements will bring the outdoors in with the fusion of earthy tones and natural textures.

Designer tip: It’s all about the details, such as cabinet handles, as they will bring your whole kitchen look together. We offer an extensive range of handle styles and have introduced several new designs which include statement brass textures, timber tones, along with whites and leather-feel selections.

 2. Create a modern kitchen design with metallics

For a twist on a sleek modern kitchen look, move away from black and concrete finishes and instead embrace a hint of metallic in your kitchen design. Our newly introduced Soft Ziato Metallic doors in a soft champagne tone are perfect to mix with minimalist styles for that touch of glamour. The subtle hint of metallic shines when paired with darker moodier tones and allow the chance to be creative with colour, pattern, and texture in not only the joinery door fronts, but in your benchtop, splashback, and accessories selection throughout the space as well.

Designer tip: Want to make more of a style statement in your kitchen? Pair your metallic-coloured cabinetry with bold graphic stone selections such as marble look patterns and highlight the joinery with Warm LED lighting to enhance the shine.

 3. Explore a fresh take on the classic white kitchen.

While the all-white kitchen will never go out of style, we have seen a shift away from the more coastal styles with Shaker-profile doors and an increase in more contemporary designs. To achieve this, we recommend mixing textures and finishes to bring dimension to your white-on-white colour palette. Begin with your cabinetry selection as this is the canvas of your entire design. Solid doors in Fresh White Satin are a wonderful choice as the satin adds a sheen and depth to your joinery without the boldness of a high-gloss finish. Textured white handles can make a subtle statement and add dimension, with our new Matt White Knurled knob and Bar designs worth consideration. Neutral-toned tiles across splashbacks and marble-look benches will complement the look, as will appliances and accessories in Gunmetal tones to add a touch of contrast and warmth.

Designer tip: Integrate appliances such as dishwashers and fridges behind cabinetry to maintain the sleek and seamless look of your all-white kitchen style. Carefully select your appliances so that they blend seamlessly into the look of your new space and not distract from the clean, crisp look and feel.

4. Blend form and function with Japandi style

With a focus on minimalist design, clean lines, natural light, neutral colours, and natural elements, Japandi is an increasingly popular interior design style that blends the very best of Japanese and Nordic design. Create a warm and welcoming Japandi-inspired kitchen by blending materials that provide contrast and texture, such as timber-look cabinetry and raw elements such as our new Ebony Stained American Oak handles. Evoke a calming atmosphere with your colour palette selection, leaning towards beiges, greys, taupes, creams, and classic whites and select benchtops and splashbacks which are neutrally toned and add texture, warmth, and interest to the space.

Designer tip: Consider storage solutions to maximise your kitchens usability. While the Japandi style is centred on a simple design aesthetic, it also celebrates high functionality. Enter our extensive range of storage solutions within your kitchen design. From cutlery trays, pull-out pantries, integrated bins, and corner solutions there is something for everyone and will ensure every inch of your space serves a purpose.

5. A focus on bold & beautiful appliances.

Create a true chef’s kitchen with the latest cooking and cleaning appliances. Selecting bold and colourful appliances may not be for everyone, but if you want to create drama and interest in your kitchen, then look to key items such as a large freestanding oven and matching rangehood in an exciting dramatic colour tone or a bold fridge in metallic finishes to draw the eye and evoke a sense of fun and creativity in the room. Colours to consider are bright oranges for a pop of fun and retro, while blues and greens are also wonderful options that will add sophistication and connect with your outdoor spaces.

Designer tip: If large, bold-coloured appliances are not your thing, remember you can always accessorise with smaller appliances such as kettles, toaster, and mixers to add a sense of personality in the room.

Latest Wardrobes Trends

Adding style, storage, and value to your home, investing in your wardrobes is a smart choice in 2024. Our built-in wardrobe designs are customized to fit seamlessly into your existing room, with a range of finishes and hardware options to choose from. Whether you prefer a classic look or a more modern aesthetic, we have the perfect built-in wardrobe solution to meet your needs.

6. Add metallic tones in walk-in wardrobes.

The ultimate in luxury, a walk in wardrobe will transform your master bedroom and how you get ready each day. Maximising style and storage, if you have space within your home for a walk in robe, then it is well worth the investment! Play with both open- and closed-door options so you can display what you love and hide away what you don’t want to be seen.

An island bench within your walk in wardrobe design can offer the perfect place to style décor and practicality of somewhere to fold clothing while soft-close drawers within the island will double your storage. Up the luxe factor with our brand-new Platinum Metallic wardrobe doors or our statement Black Alumin Frame doors with integrated wardrobe handles for a glamourous boutique feel with acrylic inserts allowing the internal lighting to highlight your clothing and accessories within.

Designer tip: Don’t forget about accessories! Our extensive range of luxury extras will transform your wardrobe design, adding to its functionality. Choose from fold-out mirrors, wire-pull outs, laundry hampers, shoe drawers and more! Vertical strip lighting is both stylish and functional and will perfectly illuminate the contents of your robe. You may opt to install Black Front Bar lighting at the top of your closet and include sensors so that the lights turn on as you open your wardrobe doors – adding instant drama!

7. Focus on texture and depth in your wardrobe cabinetry and other finishes.

While the classic white Shaker-style door will always have a special place in our hearts, we are also loving the movement towards more texture and colour within modern wardrobe design and a rise in more moodier and modern colour schemes. We love modern wardrobe designs that create a sense of escape and calm within your room, and your door and interior finish selection are central to this. Our Grigio Pelle (shown above) and Nero Pelle are an exciting addition to the Kinsman Wardrobes collection, offering a stunning leather-like finish that teams beautifully with Estella Oak interiors and statement handles such as our Leather pull or strap handles. The result is an effortlessly elegant yet modern look that will ensure getting ready in style is a joy.

Designer tip: Teaming our Pelle leather-like doors with leather handles is a no brainer, however, don’t disregard the impact other statement handle finishes can make. Consider pairing them with matte black hardwae for a contemporary style, or brass designs for a softer, more feminine aesthetic.
