Second Guest Bedroom Wardrobes revealed on The Block
Double Room Week wrapped last night- and it was filled with plenty of drama, design, and inspiration! The contestants certainly had their work cut out for them: needing to produce both a guest bedroom and bathroom ensuite, with all but one team moving into the new pavilion section of their build. However, they all rose to the challenge, producing stunning spaces which included beautiful Kinsman Wardrobes!

House 1: Tom and Sarah-Jane
Score: 29 + 1 gnome point = 30!
Place: 1st
Still glowing from their win for their Master Bedroom and Walk-in Robe, Tom and Sarah set out to create not two, but three rooms, adding a powder room to their floorplan. Their guest bedroom evokes a classic Country meets Ralph Lauren vibe with statement blue tartan wallpaper that wraps around the entire room.
To complement the style of their bedroom, the couple opted for a modern yet classic colour palette of grey and brass for their winning Guest Bedroom 2 Wardrobe which the judges loved both for its looks and functionality. Grey Shaker-style Somersby doors feature throughout, paired with Matt Brass Bar handles.
Within the centre of the wardrobe design, a desk topped in Caesarstone® Bianco Drift, complements the grey cabinetry perfectly. Storage abounds with a mixture of hanging space, soft-close drawers and open shelving finished in Kinsman’s new Oak Woodgrain colourway. A Folding Mirror in Anthracite and Black Front Bar lighting add to the style and functionality of the design.
Combined with a stunning bathroom and powder room, the couple enjoyed their second win in a row. Shaynna Blaze went as far to say that she thinks that interior design is an option that they should seriously consider after the show has finished. “I adore what they do, how they put it together, and having that sense of joy when you see it, she explained. This is their career after this, I’m not even joking!”

House 2: Rachel and Ryan
Score: 26
Place: 3rd
Determined to show their personality as well as their design strength, Rachel and Ryan created a contemporary guest bedroom with Country-inspired touches. Earlier in the week after being concerned about the placement and size of the wardrobe when it was installed, the pair opted to relocate it to a different wall and select a more compact design that still features plenty of style and storage.
In a stylistic departure from what they have delivered in past wardrobes, the pair opted for a sleek combination of timber, cement and black for their colour palette. White Cement exterior doors have been teamed with Kinsman’s new Brushed Black Bar handles, with Oak Woodgrain interior finishes completing the look.
Storage has been maximised with a focus on open shelving as well as hanging space and soft-close drawers. Wardrobe Lifts have been included to bring clothing within easy reach, the rail installed in the high part of the robe which can then be pulled downwards and outwards on a swing fitting.

House 3: Ankur and Sharon

Place: 5th
The only team still working within the original part of their home, Sharon and Ankur made a bold choice and created a second Master Suite within their home in a bid to set themselves apart from the crowd. To achieve the look, the pair combined Somersby White Matt doors, Oak Woodgrain Matt interior finishes and Kinsman’s new Flexa Leather Pull handles for their wardrobe design.
The judges loved the scale and the palatial feel of their bedroom, which flowed on beautifully from the Master Suite the pair presented a week earlier. “You could swing a tiger in here,” exclaimed Darren Palmer with a laugh. We still see the core of what Ankur and Sharon are very, very good at – which is creating palatial, overstated drama.”
In addition to the storage within the robe thanks to hanging space, open shelves and soft-close drawers, the inclusion of a desk ensures the bedroom is a multifunctional space. Designed to be either a study nook or a makeup station, this zone features a Caesarstone® Aterra Blanca desktop and new timber-look Oak Woodgrain Matt shelves.

House 4: Dylan and Jenny
Score: 24.5

Dylan and Jenny’s Hinged Wardrobe within their Second Guest Bedroom focuses on a timeless colour palette of warm timbers, matte whites, and brass. Brushed Satin Brass handles pair perfectly with Shaker-style Somersby White Matt cabinets, adding the perfect touch of glamour to the design.
Inclusions such as full and half hanging space, open shelving and soft-close drawers ensure there is plenty of storage within the bedroom. The exposed section of shelving in Oak Woodgrain provides a stunning focal point and an opportunity to style accessories and display décor.
The judges appreciated the palette and the stylish touches throughout the room which included the wardrobe noting it’s “fresh and contemporary feel.” They also loved the fact that when the build is complete this room with have a private balcony affording the owners a stunning view, completing the experience.
